FARMINGTON BASEBALL U.A.
Since the 1950’s, organized baseball has been a strong tradition in Farmington, Wisconsin. In 2008, a non-profit organization, Farmington Baseball U.A., was formed during a re-organization of the volunteer group that keeps the ballpark and the baseball program running smoothly. Currently, Farmington Baseball U.A. provides baseball and fast pitch softball opportunities to youth in our area.
Farmington Baseball prides itself in providing opportunities to ALL kids who want to play baseball/softball. No player is turned away because of financial, physical or mental limitations. We do not have traveling or tournament teams. Our teams are made up of local kids who want to learn the fundamentals of the sport, while at the same time learning teamwork and sportsmanship. We believe each of these skills will benefit our players long after their baseball/softball careers are over. Because of this philosophy, our numbers continue to increase with kids who have been turned away or rejected from other communities.
What makes our organization different from almost all others in our league and the surrounding area is the fact that WE are the owners of our ballpark. Our park is not owned by the township or county, it is owned by our non-profit organization. Our current site is located on approximately 8 acres of land and contains a concession stand, bathroom building, storage shed, batting cage, and (3) baseball fields. We own, maintain, and operate our own facility including all lawn, field and building needs and repairs. We also provide coaches for all our teams, staff for our concession stand and uniforms for every player. All of this is accomplished with the help of countless volunteer hours and donations. Our operation is mainly supported through our concession stand. We also complete various fundraising efforts throughout the year and receive donations as well. All of the funds that we earn or otherwise receive are put directly back into our facility and baseball/softball programs.
